tonyg3nwl Posted July 7, 2009 Share Posted July 7, 2009 Hi, We have just returned from 6 weeks in France, 25 nights covered by Camping cheques (2 lots of 14 for 11, plus 3 extra single nights) Outbound via France Passion at Cap Nature, near Calais,Municipal at Chartres( 15 E plus tax),Aires at St Pourcain sur Sioule,(busy and a bit close to your neighbour) , Aire at Millau, Busy,,, 28 nights at Cap Agde (Champs Blancs, 22 camping cheques .. Return via 1 camping cheque at St Antonin Noble Val..1 Camping cheque at Souillac (Paille Basse)... Aire at Egletons (building site adjacent, not recommended until works are finished), 1 camping cheque at Grande Tortue (Loire Valley), Municipal again for restock, empty and fill at Chartres (15 e again), France Passion at Critot, north of Rouen, and finally France Passion back at Cap Nature, 20 miles south of Calais. £ 304 for camping Cheques, 40 E tourist tax at Agde 34 E at Chartres inc tax , approx £240 for diesel, plus food etc. France Passion book £20, Aires book £15? Ferry £65 return Insurance £120??? Excellent weather, at times too hot 35 degrees 2 rain showers and one thunderstorm on outbound south of Millau. Route avoided all motorway tolls this year. Very enjoyable and amazingly inexpensive considering exchange rates. Van behaved as expected in forward gears, and avoided judder provoking, by careful choice of parking places en route.
