Transit Mk 7 Headlight mask

There is a useful explanation of how to mask your Mk 7 Transit if you are proposing to travel on the Continent, at http://uk.geocities.com/mk7transit@btinternet.com

I haven't tried using the template in practice yet, but it looks straightforward.

It is rumoured that the French police are now viewing unadjusted British headlights as a useful source of income...

An alternative is to get a pair of these headlamp covers

http://www.formula4.co.uk./homepage-find-3-12.html

- clip them onto your lights, then stick universal beam-benders onto them (by pointing the beams at the wall/garage and positioning the "benders" so they eliminate the bit of glare that sticks up at the left of each beam).

Hey presto, REMOVABLE (therefore re-usable) beam adjusters, like the old yellow ones we used to have when everyone had round lights!

If you're feeling really clever, get the kind of benders that can be used two ways round - for either LH/RH or RH/LH. If you use them the "wrong" way, stuck on the INSIDE of the covers, they not only stay on more reliably, but are easier to keep clean, with a smooth surface!

As tony says, get headlamp covers , fix beam benders to them, then just clip on and off as and when you need. This also saves the H?L from stone chips. We have just come back from abroad and just unclipped them while waiting for the Ferry to get home. Did notice more raod blocks in both France and Spain (We did not not stopped) but more of them about this year.
