We have used Comfort for our motorhome insurance for the past 3 years. Their quotes are, for us, competetive and their staff are well mannered, knowledgeable and efficient. Insurance depends on many variables, where you live, your age, medical problems and driving history are but a few. Shop around, it costs nothing but your time, what is a good offer to one person can be a bad offer to others with differing circumstances. I can only sat that if Comfort have made you a good offer, I know of no reason to suggest that you should not accept it.

I have recently renewed our Rapido insurance, and phoned round 5 insurers. Regrettably Comfort were about £50 more than the others, which came out at about £290 for us. However, never having had a claim, I do not know how good they are when it comes to them paying you rather than the other way around!

Yes, I've used Comfort for the third year in succession. We have a Hymer S class, 25' long, and not many companies are interested in that! Their premium, and especially the excess, was significantly lower than anywhere else I tried. I have unfortunately had to make a claim, and there was no problem. How about this? - a lady near Sorrento in Italy drove into me from a side road; we exchanged heated words in our mother tongue, so neither of us knew what the other was saying; she drove off without exchanging names, addresses, insurance details etc; all I had was her registration number and type of car. I didn't even know the street name of the accident. Low and behold, through Comfort, they put an Italian recovery agent onto the case, and they recovered my excess for me, so it wasn't even a claim - my NCB protection was re-instated! Yes, I can recommend them!

Have just insured my new van for March with Comfort, as best quote obtained for my requirements. Good comments about them on www.motorhometoday.co.uk from a number of people who have used them. David

Hiya - yes , have used COmfort for the last 2/3 years and they seem fine, with good knowledge and customer service. In fact I also took a policy nfor the car with them last year when I was having problems with trying to change a date of renewal with teh Pru, and Comfort gave as good a policy if not better at a lower cost.

Comfort are one of the top 3 or 4 companies that specialise in motor insurance. Their policies are underwritten by Norwich Union though the provicions are specially negotiated by Comfort, so include, for example long stay abroad provision. Comfort will also insure your house and content - also with NU - giving much longer absences than the standard 30 day absence allowed by most policies. They will not always by the cheapest, but mtorhome insurance is not like car insurance - it's not a commodity buy and you really do get what you pay for. Only use it at weekends in the UK? Then the cheapest may be OK for you. Want extended trips abroad, towing a trailer or car? You need a company that really understands motorhome use.
