Brock
A pre-production model was tested in one of the motorhome mags in June 2001. They said the fit and finish needed to be improved and the extension mechanism was crude. They praised the night time and lounging facilities plus the quality fo furnishing. Overall, they said it was OK and good value for money.I presume the production models were better built.
Jonathan Lloyd
I conducted a live-in test on the Manhattan Tardis for MMM and my report appeared in December 2001. Reprints are available. In short, providing it was well looked after, I would have thought it would make a good pre-owned purchase, though residuals may be difficult to quantify. The real surprise was not that Manhattan folded (they were very under-funded) but that nobody has developed what was an excellent idea. ike
Thanks for your responses. Had a look at the thread suggested by the Judge. Brownhills is selling an '02 model and it was the first I'd seen anything like it. Will think on it.cheers ike
