Beancounter
In our boating days, the best time to look for a used boat was either September - November (end of the season; people wanting to sell before winter storage, repairs etc.) or February - April (before start of new season; people selling boats to buy new ones for the new season...) Is there a similar effect with motorhomes? Perhaps around the major NEC shows when people have been seduced by spangly new machinery on the stands? Just wondering... motorhomejoe
Yes ! The peak sales period is between March and July and I have found that looking Sept to Feb is helpful. However I also found that most people buy through dealers so people who are selling their own vans are not swamped by buyers. There is therefore a huge price difference between buying from dealers versus privately which means that even during peak sales seasons there are still private sale bargains.
