My business neighbour is a professional valeter and regularly uses Farecla with a power mop to restore dull and faded GRP. He's done several motorhomes for our customers and they have all been 100% happy with his results. recently he did a 34 ft yankee job that needed to be mopped entirely with Farecla and the owner was more than pleased. Don't know how hard a job it would be to do manually though.

Not used that specific product but I always use Ferecla G10 to restore all paintwork and gelcoat (cars and motorhome) and finish off with Ferecla Topwax. Used to use Autoglym or Meguires but find the Ferecla products superior and longer lasting.

Incidently G10 has been the best I have found for removing scratches from the Plastic windows as well!

We have used Farécla (correct spelling) G3 'Advanced Liquid Compound' on the advice of both Autosleeper and the Autosleeper Owners Club and found that it is the Bees Knees for restoring GRP.

At the time we had an Autosleeper Duetto on the MK5 Transit with the GRP top and found that the G3 cleaned and polished the roof (and the normal painted body) very quickly and easily using nothing more than a damp, hand-held cloth (there are pictorial instructions for both powered and hand cleaning on the container).

Be warned that a litre container of G3 will cost you about £18 ....... but it's very good and worth the cost.

Used G3 as well but be aware that it is much more agresive than G10 (the numbers are derived from the coursness of the compound and is equivelent to wet and dry paper G3 being 300 grit and G10 being 1000 grit equivelent therefore much finer finish).

Also neither G3 or G10 is a polish only a cutting compound and you need to polish with a good quality product afterwards to protect from UV and dirt, Ferecla Topwax is a good companion here and came out best of the well known polishes, second only to a very expensive Carnuba wax in the tests done on Fifth Gear test on TV. These tests included being examined under a microscope after cleaning and then having grit being thrown at the finish by a large fan and having heat applied, then being reexamined under a microscope.
