Or has anyone stayed near there on an aire or campsite? any ideas welcome! le canichot depang Posted August 6, 2009 Share Posted August 6, 2009 Hi, We last went to Parc Asterix about 12 or so years ago but at the time had a caravan, however we noticed a lot of Motorhomes parked up, not sure if they were overnighting or not. Knowing the French I would think it is allowed for a small fee, you can certainly stay at Futuroscope. If you are going to Asterix, you might also like to visit Le Mer du Sable,(The desert) it's very close and sign posted, not a massive park, but a cheap day out for little ones, with pony rides, a water raft and other smaller rides, the overall theme is country and western, and they do a good cowboy and indian show across the desert area, there was also a train and paddling pool, the good thing about this park and Astix is that you can take a picnic in and don't have to pay the high disney prices. I also remember that astrix is accessed from its own exit off the motorway (Paris-Lille), there is no other way to get to it.
