spospe
Some basic information, such as make, age, model and engine type would be helpful here. Also what on earth is a 'wiper fin'?
Ranger
As my car wind screen is about 30 dergrees from horizintal it had fins but I changed the wipers as the rubbers were getting a bit too hard and have not put the fins back on. Works fine without them so don't worry about them. I think they may be required if we drove at around 100 MPH.
Derek Uzzell
M Summerbee Is this what you have in mind? http://www.redlinemaxed.co.uk/windscreen-wiper-spoilers-chrome-white-black-p-791.html I'm not convinced they will do much on a motorhome. Guest Tracker
Having tried both over the years fins or spoilers do not, in my experience make any noticeable difference in wiper efficiency on a van. You get better and more dependable wiping - especially in extreme conditions - by replacing the wiper blades, or at least the rubbers, if you can get them, every 18 months or so. There is some evidence to suggest that the extra downforce can make them quite noisy at higher speeds (above 50) particularly in very light rain and more so in strong winds? Why not try without and see how it goes?
