ktesis
We are about to embark on a tour that will see us arrive at Fussen after completing the "Romantic Route". I am not sure which route to take to Lake Como. We intend to move westwards through SE France and up to Calais. Any suggestions? Derek
Brian Kirby
You shouldn't have a problem with any of the obvious routes. What is your concern?

Guest JudgeMental
just back from our third year on the trot to Switzerland and the Italian lakes (Maggiore & Garda) I love Como and we have stayed in a hotel in Bellagio in the past...but it does not seem to offer much in the way of campsites. Can anyone recommend sites around Como?

Bailey
I agree the site at Dongo is great. I stayed there this year for a week or so and it was really nice. A family run place in a great location. Nice Bar - Free Wi Fi. http://www.magiclake.it/
Bailey
I also stayed for a night in the site in Como City. Not really to be recommended. Sanitary facilities are quite poor. It is located about 4/5 miles outside the city. This might not seem too much to cycle but it is downhill all the way to the city and the lake so going home might not be that easy. pomme
There is a great site at Sorico right at the top ( northern) end of the lake, Camping La Riva. Cycle/footpathe adjacent and the best sanitary facilities I've seen anywhere!
