lizken
Can someone tell me how SOG systems work, and if they are effective. :-(
sshortcircuit
Try a search on SOG and you will find a wealth of info. It is simply a small extract fan, normally used in computers, which is switched on when you open the wc slide. It then provides a negative air pressure so the air from the wc is extracted outwards and you have no smells. You do not require any chemicals. Anybody that has one swears by them
Peter Highe
Hi In practice, having a SOG means that you need to use no chemicals but still have no smells in the van. That means you can afford to empty the tank more often and don't need anything other than a standard WC to empty into. The fan only runs when you open the blade. I find it a lot more convenient than using toilet fluid and despite the cost of installation, it is well worth it. Peter

Guest peter
Before you fit one make sure it will fit. I have the modern bench toilet and cannot easilly fit one because the casette is too close to the door.
