davenewellhome
Help us to help you by telling us what toilet it is, what van its in and how old it is. I have seen this problem before in a Hymer where the toilet is flushed using water from the main tank. The problem was a build up of limescale and gunge in the flush solenoid. D. jillian
My vehicle is a Lunar Champ, 2006 model. I think the toilet is a Thetford C200 which does indeed use water from the freshwater tank.
davenewellhome
Then I'd check the flushing solenoid first for a build up of debris/limescale. D.
jillian
Thanks Dave, when I remove the cassette I can see the water supply hose making it's way up and around the underside of the bowl bowl but nothing obvious that looks like a solenoid, is it by any chance behind the flush button panel? Andy_C
It's right up under the bowl, instructions here: http://www.thetford-europe.com/web/show/id=91559/langid=42 I replaced our solenoid valve last year because it was staying open too long resulting in the cassette being full in a couple of days. It's a fiddly job. AndyC
jillian
Thanks Andy, Dave, the advice and link are most appreciated, I'm hoping that this valve can be cleaned out or I need to find a spare somewhere near Salou. Thanks again, Jillian x
