Radi Reception

We have a 2008 Swift Ace Airstream 680FB on the new Fiat base vehicle on past posts there has been mention of bad radio reception the previous owner of my vehicle had an external aerial fitted to the nearside window / door frame I would think to increase reception but the fitted Blaupunkt Radio has been driving me nuts with its constant bleap when off signal whilst driving along and the radio reception along the M11 was useless.

I removed the radio and re-fitted the original aerial lead to the radio which is I belive from the aerial fitted as part of the mirrors and bingo a fantastic signal even on the M11 and no off signal bleap from the radio , our previous M/H was on the new Peugeot chassis and the fitted radio was far better , has anyone had the same problem with their radio reception ?
