davenewellhome Posted October 6, 2009 Share Posted October 6, 2009 "Freeview" is the name for terrestrial (i.e from a ground based transmitter) broadcast digital TV while "Freesat" is a broadly similar service, in terms of channels you can receive, supplied via satellite. "Freeview" is only available through a normal style aerial and either a digital ready TV or set tob box while "Freesat" is only available through a satellite dish and satellite receiver. D.
