Archiesgrandad
Can anyone help me to resolve my 2010 problem? 'Cosmopolitan Girl' has decided that she needs a full lenght mirror fitted in the van, presumable so that she can check whether it really does look big in that. My problem is that our Rimor Sailor really is a bit, no make that a lot, sensitive to added weight. My suggestion that I would fit a mirror of the same weight as any reduction she could achieve by dieting was met by some quite unnecessary references to some photos taken of me on the day we were married, so that may not be the way forward. I do remember that when we built one of our sailing boats back in the seventies I fitted a lightweight full length mirror which was said to be of the type used in airliners, which are also weight sensitive. Does this ring a bell with anyone? AGD
dragonflyer
Hello A possible answer to your problem is a film mirror. I googled lightweight mirror and knowing what I was looking for I was able to check that they are still available. see also Shrink Mirror. hallii
I fitted a lightweight full length plastic mirror on the toilet door, it cost about £14. Geoff
GJH
Earlier this year Lidl were selling rolls of mirror film. We bought some to put on the wardrobe door. Not perfect but Jill reckons plenty good enough - and hardly any weight. Graham
