billyboy
Could anybody recommend a campsite close to Oberammagau? We have tickets for the Passion Play in September. We also have two small dogs that will have to be kennelled for a couple of days so any help there would be appreciated.
spospe
billyboy We have stayed at: Campingpark Oberammergau, Ettalerstrasse, Oberammergau. Website: http://www.campingpark-oberammergau.de/ It is an easy walk from the site into town and I suggest that you book as soon as you can, in case it gets filled at the time you are going. enodreven
Hi, You will be close to the German Romantic Road which has some very nice and interesting places to visit http://germany-travel.suite101.com/article.cfm/travel_the_romantic_road_germany As for buying tickets here is an extract from the site above regarding the purchase of tickets Buying Tickets for the Oberammergau Passion Play 2010 Tickets for the Oberammergau Passion Play 2010 are available for purchase from early 2008. The easiest way to obtain tickets is through a travel agent as part of a package tour of Germany and / or Europe. Individual travelers can buy advance tickets for the Passion Play only from DER Reisebüro that sell tickets on behalf of Oberammergau town. The booking process is manual using mail and fax rather than online booking services. Two options are available: Hope that helps berti - 2009-12-04 12:02 PM hi billyboy could you tell me where you purchased the tickets from ? i can only seem to come up with 'package prices' we are hoping to visit the area in late may/early june and trying to put an itinerary together are there any other interesting things to see/do aroundabout ? cheers berti
