Brian Kirby
Library; Rough or similar guide/s; read, and look at the pictures, then make your selection based on what appeals to you! All anyone else can tell you is what they have seen, and what they liked which, based on the areas most seem to head for, seems liable to exclude a huge proportion of the country! Go forth, and explore.
Guest JudgeMental
A good source of used guide books (from 60p + postage) is: http://www.abebooks.co.uk they tend not to be latest edition's but good enough, and a fraction of new price. By example my daughter just got a "lonely planet south east Asia on a shoe string" guide and it was 60p plus £2.50 postage as apposed to £13 + postage. the book was new but a few edition's out of date.....
