campervans of yesteryear.

Hi everyone.

I enjoy reading about the older vans in mmm and recently remembered the registration no of my father's van used for his business back in 1957 ish.

I wonder if RYD512 is still around, a Bedford dormobile with adjustable bench seats with metal frames. No other facilities as it was used primarily for business purposes, but as a youngster I remember a very cold camping holiday in North Wales

More recently but still a while ago, we purchased a VW Devon conversion pop up roof version, registration KOR 736 L, and had it for 7 years. Several holidays down to Spain (south of Barcelona). One occassion on our return from spain, a following french car failed to stop in time and rammed us in the rear. We managed to limp home and it was repaired under insurance, and it cost the french driver a heavy penalty and shock when he received a letter from the Chief Barrister of the Versailles Circuit, a personal friend via my amateur radio hobby. Compensation was forthcoming very quickly.

Is either of these vehicles still in circulation I wonder ???
