Shell Air Miles

Apart from Tesco points a good way to subsidize channel crossings or longer ferry crossings to Spain is to use Shell Air Miles that are converted from Shell points.

Shell give a very poor rate of exchange for Airmiles I used to collect them but gave up, Best rate is with a Tesco Club Card & Tesco Credit Card.

I'm not aware of the exchange rate but I fill up daily with large quanties of deisel using the shell drivers club card and I can only refuel at sites that are big enough to accept very large commercial vehicles.

I use LloydsTSB Duo airmiles credit cards ( which are paid off monthly to avoid interest charges) for all purchases possible including fuel.

The airmiles mount up very quickly especially when you get additional airmiles from Teso Club Card and Shell drivers club.

I am planning three ferry trips with the 'van this year which will cost nothing using the Airmiles.

I have a Duo card to but don't use it much as the Tesco one give a much better rate for Airmiles. We do the same buy every thing on the Tesco card & pay it off at the end of the month, collect about 6000 Airmiles a year.

Any idea of the exchange rate fot tesco vouchers into airmiles

Current rate is 60 Airmiles to 250 point (1 £2.50 voucher), I'm on an old bounus rate of 80.

Don't forget if you pay for shopping at Tesco with a Tesco Credit Card you get a bouns poin (3 points for every £1)
