French Autoroutes - Telepeage

I have read somewhere that the French Telepeage system (aka Liber-t), the account that provides a transponder that enables you to drive straight through the autoroute peages which charges your credit card on an 'as used' basis, precludes cars ('camping cars') above 2.0 metres high. This would preclude most motor caravans. Has anyone had direct experience of this and is this in fact true?

Some big trucks seem to whizz through in the righthand lane, do they have some sort of card system?

AGD

We were on a coach tour in Provence last year and the coach had some sort of electronic system that allowed it to pass though the autoroute toll-points 'automatically'. The coach halted at the barrier, after a short delay there was a loud 'peep' from something at the coach-driver's end of the vehicle and the barrier lifted.
