wilmannie
I really would appreciate some help ref the above. I use an old sat.nav. which is near it's expiry date and want to get one into which I can enter the destination as a set of map co-ordinates (eg N 056* 34.014, W 03* 35.140). So many european sites and camperstops (and even ACSI now) tell me this is the preferred way to get there but I can't seem to find a sat.nav. that accepts these entries - I can't seem to even put them into the new Tomtom Start. Help, where am I going wrong here? *-)
spospe
My TomTom 730 allows co-ords to be input either way. The choice is made in the 'Change Preferences' section under 'Set Units' and there you can choose to set the entry as you wish.
Way2Go
If you had a used POIs for your CamperStop and/or ACSI sites you just need to use the 'Navigate to' option and not bother with entering individual co-ordinates.W2G
wilmannie
Thanks for replies. Am now trying to load Camperstop Europe GPS Coordinates into my new TomTom 930 and can't get them installed, I can see them in the device through my laptop (sitting as separate files under the 'Western Europe...' file) but can't use them in the device. - Tho the ACSI ones popped in perfectly yesterday into the 'Western Europe...' file and are working a treat. Can anyone help? w2g? *-) *-)
Way2Go
If you've loaded the .BMP and .OV2 files into your map folder then you just need to switch them on to be displayed on the map.See if the attached helps?W2GTomTom - Adding a POI to a TomTom.pdf

spospe
Way2Go The pdf file that you have posted a link to is corrupt and cannot be loaded, even by the latest version of Adobe.
Way2Go
Hmmm, let's try that again then. It works in version 9. Hmmm x 10 . . . . it won't display on the link using IE8 (rubbish) but will work if you right click and save it to your PC. Or, grab a copy of the Word 2003 version.W2GTomTom - Adding a POI to a TomTom.pdf
