Jed
Arriving in Poole at 11:30pm from the boat in Easter and requiring an overnight spot close by for motorhome. Any known spots available would be appreciated eg camping site, pub carpark etc?
Mike88
This place is excellent but its a campsite which prsumably is your least favoured option. http://www.southlytchettmanor.co.uk/

le canichot depang
We have used Poole quite often with both caravan and motorhome, and because our clever ferry company (unfortunately we only have one) always makes sure that most outward journeys from Jersey arrive in Poole late at night and the morning ferries back leave early morning (necessitating staying nearby) we have never had a problem camping at the docks, there used to be £5/night charge and electric available if you wanted it, then you can be on the road at first light. Weymouth harbour on the other hand, do not like you to camp overnight, even though we do - usually in the queue ready for departure, and arriving at night, we are up and off before the traffic officers are on duty in the morning.
