No not that one..

A great big Hello to you all and a very belated Happy New Year. It's been 7 months since I've made a contribution and I'm very happy to be back - if you'll have me of course.

I won't bore you to death with my reason for absence except to say I've experienced some professional difficulties which are now largely behind me.

All's well here, Lady T is fine, so's the van blah blah blah.

I'd better sod off now or Howie + (insert your own choice here), will whinge at my rambling on.

It's nice to be back :-D

Welcome back Martyn, and thank goodness it's you. When I saw the heading, I thought it was Lord Hanningfield, returning to haunt Essex again!

For those who don't know, the Dark Lord was leader of our County Council until they got him on expenses charges last week - real result, as he was no-one's favourite local politician. He often seemed to think he was still Lord of the Manor!

Tony, Ria, Rich, Sylvia, Martin & Howie, thanks for replying, I thought I may have been persona non grata for my extended absence :D

Nice to see you still have an interesting, (warped) sense of humour Howie. A stay at Her Majesties would have been preferable I suspect.

I'll be up to my old tricks again soon, you know the drill, out at midnight on CC sites counting empty pitches, seeing if they tally up with vacancies.

I'll get me coat :D

Nice to see you back Martyn 'Your Lordship'

Not looking a day older can I add, although the tash looks as though it could do with a little waxing at the ends.

'Professional difficulties, largely behind you'

I have heard rumours about some Lords, your not gay are you Martyn? :-D

Not that it bothers me.

Anyway, welcome back!!

Dave

So that's what you've been up to ... messing about with the scullery maid again - I assume her Ladyship caught you this time and stuck you in the tower? :D

Good to see you back. :-D

...gimme some credit

If you want credit form a global warming panel of people less expert than yourself who totally supports the Government line and ask Uncle Gordon very nicely as Himself seems the only one willing to give away our money these days!

Hello Michael, great pic and you're quite right, it certainly appeals to me. I admire their thinking and the mindset they seem to deploy, i.e. different to say the least

Carol, thanks for those kind words and Rich, I might come and tap YOU up for my credit 8-)

Just back from York, (again), had a lovely time, as ever.

Martyn

Good to see you out and enjoying yourself Martyn. Still intrigued by these 'professional difficulties' and perhaps you could enlighten us all with a explanation. Lots of good friends on here, and assured of a warm, understanding and sympathetic response.

Me neither Michele.

I've been rooting around the various posts on here since my return and I'd forgotten just how informative, insightful and downright funny this forum can be.

Anyway, whilst at a service point the other day at Rowntree Park, a lady drew me into a discussion regarding her quite strong views of taking deposits.

Oh blimey I'm at it again, I'm off, honest :D :D
