Trailer tie down straps

Just dug out my straps to use on a trip to the weighbridge.

 

The ratchets were quite stiff so I pulled the straps off to clean up the ratchets and get some lube in.

I found the "drum" was corroding as the damp had presumably been held in there. I think I will leave the straps off in future when out of use.

what you need to do is get some WD40 and spray it on, that will keep everything in tip top condition for ages
