peter21
We are heading south through France from Dunkirk, leaving this Saturday, and looking for suggestions for places to stay overnight in our Rapido motorhome. Our rough itinerary is Dieppe, Le Mans, La Rochelle, Spain. Arriving Dunkirk lunchtime Saturday we thought we would spend the first night somewhere near Dieppe...however most of the sites are shut at the moment...anyone been through recently and can suggest a good place/places to stay? We are very flexible on routes but would like to avoid the toll roads and want to head in a general Southerly direction....in the hope of locating the sun. Thanks in advance Peter
MandyAndy
We have stayed here a few times now and have loved each one. English speaking reception, hard standings for MH think we did some with ACSI card but still wasn't that much without . Super market 5 mins Town 7 mins Canal walks and boats to hire 2 mins. http://www.eurocampings.co.uk/en/europe/france/poitou-charentes/charente-maritime/camping-municipal-du-bois-dinot-112278/
Bojitoes
Hi It may be a bit further than you want to drive after landing in Dieppe but we caught the 10am boat a couple of months ago and drove to Rouen for our first nights stop. Did it in about 2 hours and it was 14€. a little basic but very atmospheric- they baked bread and make cider on site. The site is in the AA book but if you do not have it and site of interest send me a PM and I will look up and forward details Bojitoes

robertandjean
Forget the camp site at 27€ why not stay on the aire at Dieppe, cost 7€/night and easy walk into town, unlike site which suspect will be further out.
davanne
We always stay at the aire at St Valery en caux very near Dieppe on the coast or the next village Veulles les Roses on the aire outside campsite. Hope you have a good trip. Anne *-)
