Big Momma
I know that this is a subject that keeps cropping up on this forum. In Practical Motorhome Magazine this month there is a section on Motor Home Insurers and I noted that there are now 5 Insurers that provide cover for unresticted annual touring. The only anomaly I could find was that although they would provide 365 days unrestricted European Cover for the van there is still no Medical/Travel Insurance cover to match (!) Big Momma
Just need to correct an error. I stated that the Insurance article was in Practical Motorhome magazine, this is incorrect it should have stated "Motor Caravan Magazine". Pages 72-73 give the essential information. Porky
I was able to get van insurance for 365 days European travel but not health insurance which I think is underwritten differently, and is subject to all sorts of retrictions for existing conditions etc. One thing I was able to obtain from the underwriters for the van was that we could return to the UK and leave the van to attend a consultation with a specialist, to attend a funeral of a close friend or relative, or to visit a terminally ill close friend or relative. For any other reason you will not be covered. If someone knows differently then they will tell you:->(lol) Roy Fuller
