net-traveller
Just had a e-newsletter from camping sweden. "This very special summer we welcome you to Sweden, the 4th cheapest camping country in Europe!* Pleasant reading! The Camping.se Team *According to ADAC, Allgemeine Deutsche Automobile Club" Having visited a few times, the last being 2009, I'm staggered at that statistic. I would have thought it in the expensive range. Wonder where the UK comes. :-D
Guest Tracker
We find Sweden very cheap to camp - free in fact! There is the right to camp almost anywhere as long as you are not blocking any entrance or right of way and as long as you are at least 100 meters from the nearest house - we prefer out of sight to the nearest house. We had no problem finding sites or marinas where water in and out and loo and rubbish can be dealt with for sometimes a few Kroner (Krona? Kronar? - can never remember) or very often for free and with a smile. Fantastic country lovely people - a pleasure to spend your money with them - except diesel - and we spent a heck of lot more in shops than we saved on site fees! Our electric meter is only about 9 inches wide, and our gas meter not much bigger. :-D
