fred22
I am about to purchase another motorhome and rang up for an insurance quote. I was asked the length, width, height, weight and contents. Is this normal? I have never been asked for these details before. I knew I was going to have problems when the young lady (well her voice was young sounding) asked if it had to be towed by a car and had to check before proceeding. I did not get my quote because I could not provide the answers although I did get a quote from a different company who did not require this information. david lloyd
This is not normal for an insurance quote for a motorhome. In fact, I have just renewed with a different compmany who don't even need the exact modle of 'van. It sounds like the 'young lady' was confusing the requested insurance quote with one for caravan insurance where this information is often required. fred22
Different day, same company, different salesperson. As I have two cars insured with them I thought I would give it another try. Bingo, no problem, no details required except registration number and name of converter. Procedure started and finished with a satisfactory outcome in little more than 10 mins.
