webbocj
To travel to the extreme south (Dubrovnik) in Croatia you have to pass Bosnia (through-green card or round-ferry) I think that's correct so far. Firstly, it appears some insurance companies will not issue the required green card and others want between £10-£50 to supply it. I beleive the ferry could be approx £70 return(shortist route). Advise from those who have experienced this journey would be much appreciated. Thanks. chris
Brian Kirby
In October 2008 the single crossing, Ploce - Trpanj, was Kn272. Be aware that motorhomes may not be carried on ferry due to the Bora, which can cause abnormally high water at Trpanj and a consequent grounding risk when embarking/disembarking. It is a smallish ferry, but can take up to about 7.5 tonne HGVs, possibly more. It is "turn up and go", you pay at the ports. Operator, as with almost all Croatian ferries, is Jadrolinija. They have a good website in English with timetables and costs. In the meantime, here is a picture.
