Caroline Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Can any one recommend a site with in walking distance (not serious walking) to Ironbridge and the museums. Thanks
Dave Newell Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Hi Caroline, the only decent site in the area is Severn Gorge http://www.severngorgepark.co.uk/ Its an adult only site with ten touring pitches each served with water, electric and waste drain. Its a 40 minute walk from Blists Hill museum from where you can catch the Gorge Connect bus service to each of the other museums. D.
rupert123 Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 We stayed at site Dave suggests when waiting for him to service our van. Would dispute his walking time however, we walk fairly slow and took us 25 minutes to Blists hill and you can easily walk from their to Ironbridge centre.

davenewellhome Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 That's allright then. I did pop into the All Nations last night for a couple of pints with Number 1 daughter :D . D.
Sssnake Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Oh ...The All Nations. Very fond memories. I went to school (6th form) in Madeley and it used to be a very favourite, though long walk, for an escape from the rigours of doing nothing!! Note to self - re-visit the All Nations! Thanks for the reminder
