tony. Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 We were hoping to spend a shopping day in Crawley. I have contacted the city council but they tell me there is no parking for motorhome day visitors, 0nly 1hr spaces. Can anybody offer any suggestions, all would be greatly appreciated, also as we are travelling with a dog, are they allowed on public transport. Many thanks for reading this.
lennyhb Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Try sending a PM to Libby I think he lives in Crawley.
Knaus Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Hi Why not try Horley or Redhill. They are both on the bus route (dogs welcome) and train stations. About 15 minutes from Crawley.
Brian Kirby Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 May I just ask if this visit is out of some dire necessity, or in the expectation of pleasure? I merely ask, you understand, merely ask! :-)
bob b Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Brian is trying to tell you that Crawley is the 'Armpit of Creation', whereas Horsham..........
tonyishuk Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 AND Horsham has a "Park and Ride" and not quite the shopping centre of Crawley does OK. Open parking in Guildford near the Even Arnaurd Theatre, but it would pay to ask about M/hones and bay sizes. Rgds
Knaus Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Hi I prefer Horsham. It has many more individual shops than Crawley. Crawley has the Shopping Mall with all the usual high street shops and around the town many of the shops are the 'cheap jack' type. Sorry residents of Crawley.
