Peugeot Elddis Autostratus

Hello,

I am new to the forum and wondered if there were many users of the Peugeot Elddis Autostratus? I am looking at buying one when I get to Britain in June this year, about a 2000-2004 model, turbo diesel - about 14,000-17,000 GBP.

I have read a few horror stories about this vehicle but am still attracted because of its affordability and other features. I would like to know a few things if possible:

1. Any major problems with the 2.5 diesel motor?

2. How many miles to the gallon or kms per km?

3. What is it like for parts and service a) in Britain, b) europe, c) south america?

4. What are some of the major things to look out for if I am going to buy one that is 6-10 years old?

5. Would it be much cheaper to buy in France and bring it across the channel?

6. Are RV's very expensive to take from Europe to South America or Central America? Which is the best departure point in Europe?
