Guest Merlin1 Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Strange question I know.........but it's always something that I've wondered !!!! I've been passed many scrapyards over the years and I can't ever recall seeing seeing a motorhome in one. So when elderly motorhomes finally give up, where do they go ?
Minstrel Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Doesn't somebody restore them and they are called classics!
Basil Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 There are dedicated scrapyards, examples may be found on the following site http://www.caravanningnow.co.uk/caravanning/breakers.htm There are many more I have used a local one several times. Bas
Guest Merlin1 Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Thanks ! As I said, I've always wondered. I mean, I don't think I've ever seen a Swift Kon Tiki without any wheels balancing on top of a Ford Mondeo !! My guess would be that the coachbuilt part is dismantled and the cab scrapped in the normal way. - Just that you never see them. I can sleep now :-D
