AnnPaul Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 :-D Hi has anybody stayed at Cite de Europe car park recently and is it OK to do so? We are due in Calais via the tunnel in two weeks time at about 19.00 or should we travell on a few more miles to an aires, any suggestions? Paul and Ann
Guest JudgeMental Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Have stayed there...not the greatest holiday experience, sleeping in a car park under glaring sodium lighting........ but it is convenient for tunnel. we have stopped shopped, had a meal and heads down before now. but I like Gravelines a far more pleasant experience :-D

MandyAndy Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 And don't forget the one at Bray Dunes by the Tourist info building, room for loads more than advertised. 2 minute walk to prom. Also stayed at Cite Europe many times, excellent stopover especially for late arrivals and early departures. We try to get to Le Croytoy or Le Touquet now if going that direction. Mandy

zulurita Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 If I remember rightly there were a lot of undesirables around the motorhomes at Cite Europe last year. Don't think I would fancy staying overnight there.
Mel B Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 We've used City Europe loads of times and never had a problem. The rumoured problem of 'undesirables' were not, I believe, ever confirmed.

As you approach the centre just pick up and follow the 'coach parking' pictorgrams, the aire is next door to the coach park.If you have a satnav, its on Bargeweg51.1966359 N3.224968 E It's very expensive though so be prepared!!!
Mike88 Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Whether you stay anywhere else is dependant on where you are heading. If travelling west the Le Touquet Aire at the riding centre is large enough to accommodate late arrivals although I now tend to opt for the Le Touquet airport car park which is free.
Way2Go Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 maggyd - 2010-05-03 3:36 PM . . . . Have you got the co-ord;s for the one at Bruges W2G please. Yes I do and are attached. As Mel has said it can be a bit pricey (dependant upon the time of year) but includes electric. It's very easy to get to and is very well laid out.The thing to bear in mind concerning the pricing is that it IS within an easy walk of the beautiful town through the park and what price would you put on it's location. I can't speak for the pricing at London's camp sites but we stayed at Bristol last year and that was expensive but another great location within the city.Bruges is a very popular spot but we never tire of seeing her. It's like visiting your great aunt whenever you're in town.Anywho, I hope you find the attached useful.W2G
