Everyone seems to swear by Avon Skinsosoft - a lot of local shops sell it.

This works for us but cheaper to buy it direct from Avon web site.

I'm one of these people that midges and other biting insects seem to love! I have found Lavender or Geranium oil to be brilliant ways to deter these pests. Just put 5 or 6 drops into a tub of skin cream of your choice and then spread it on. I never get bitten when I do this.

Apparantly eating garlic is a natural way to repel the little blighters, but it has the nasty effect of repelling everybody else as well.

My wife swears by a few drops of citronella oil rubbed on and her number one suggestion is vitamin B tablets taken for a couple of weeks before you go. It certainly kept the little bu**ers off her, mind you it might be that they preferred me! :-S
