JohnP Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 I understand that a motorhome or car towing a caravan where the gross train weight exceeds 3.5 t has to carry numbered stickers which indicate the maximum speed limit for these vehicles. Has anyone any more information on this?

Klyne Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 It is certainly the Caravan Club's interruption of the rules that stickers need to be used but there is some doubt coming to light whether their view is correct. The speed limit certainly applies. There is a view that having stickers is not required by non French registered vehicles. Hopefully we will soon get some clarification. One issue for caravanners, not sure about motorhomes, is the confusion the signs could cause if you were to drive from France into Germany where speed limits are different. David
lennyhb Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Pictures will not upload it over 100kb, you probably need to resize it.
colin Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 vindiboy - 2010-05-04 7:21 PM having trouble posting picture, If you are having problems posting a sub 100kb pic, don't try adding another post, go back to your original post and edit it to include pic, for some reason this 9/10 times seems to work when you can't attach pic when first posting.
