Aire at Blois

Hi can anyone tell me if they have recently used the Aire at Blois the one right on the river bank. I visited it more than 10 years ago and I know things change so I am checking before our trip at the end of the month.

As I recall there were no facilities other than safe overnight parking?

Any help/info would be useful.

It was there last spring as we used it then......not signposted so I doubted the sat nav and drove away but came back got out of van and saw it.

 

Correct, no facilities but very convenient

HI,

 

You should be alright at that time of year, however, they do close it down and move it elsewhere in Blois during the summer months. July and August.

When did they start that? I was there for 3 days in July 2008.

I use this Aire at Blois every year on the way down to Spain in Jan and again on the way back in April. No problems getting on in Jan but in April it is extremely busy. This year it was the busiest that I have seen it. Mind you it was on a Saturday. Still no facilities but a nice overnight stop on the banks of the Loire.

Thanks John at least you have confirmed it is still there, we will probably hit it mid week so I am hopeful of getting on.
