corkbuoy
The bulb in my Smev Mini oven light is blown, anyone know how to get at it to replace. I have tried twisting the glass cover but it won't move - don't want to apply too much pressure in case I break it. corkbuoy
Brambles
http://www.leisurespares.co.uk/files/555.pdf Not sure if this link will help. It looks like there is a metal collar which retains the bulb holder and then the glass cover is probably a bayonet fixing into the collar. Have you tried pressing in before turning as you would a bayonet light bulb.
JohnP
I have just checked in my Smev oven. The class cover is raised with finger grips around its edge. It simply unscrews anticlockwise by turning the glass cover. Over time the cover may stick due to corrosion or spillage. The bulb is a standard 12v low wattage. Hope this helps
corkbuoy
Thanks for help, I had another go and it screwed off with a fair amount of pressure required, it was quite a tight fit. corkbuoy
