snobbyafghan
We're off there in a month for a month. Just got the Lonely Planets guide to Normandy and Brittany so hoping to find all the good places from that. Have a good time - we may end up pitched next to each other and never know it :-D Doug
Tony Jones
Few years back we found a good Aire at Larmour Plage, near Lorient. It was in a car park, but near the beach and with full facilities. But check first, it WAS a few years back.
robertandjean
Hi, Just back from France with time spent in Brittany, with rather a tale to tell but will go through that later, in mean time here are some of aires we stayed on which you might find of use: St. Malo: Municipal Les Ilots. (N48.68056, W1.96277). Situated just off the coast road to Cancale, this site runs as an aire up to end June, then again in Sept. and Oct. Good sized pitches, with hook-ups and free services all for 3.70€/night. Nice beach just over road and bus outside gate to St. Malo for 1.10€. Malestroit (Dept 56) Dedicated motorhome parking next to canal and easy walk into town. Nice situation (sorry no beach, not really beach people) N47.81245, W2.38232, Chemin de l'Eglise. No services here but free services point other side town, next to fire station. Nozay (Dept 44) Great lakeside aire with hook-ups and services, all free. Again no beach but a great place to chill out.(just off D121, Route de Rennes. Hope these help. In past have visited other parts of Brittany and the 2 aires at St-Pol-de-Leon (Dept 29, near Roscoff) stand out as having nice coastal views and again good places to chill.
