barrie w
Good evening, I've just been reading May issue Interchange & Clive's reply & diagram for the step wiring. I now realise that my 584 should have a warning buzzer. Assuming it has one, it doesn't work. Has anyone any idea where it should be fitted ? Maybe under or near the fridge if it picks up a fridge feed ? Any suggestions would, as always, be appreciated. Thanks. Barrie.
Barney123
Hi, Have a look under your drivers seat, you may find the buzzer stuck with double-sided tape onto the base of the seat.
JohnP
From memory the buzzer is fitted alongside but separate from the Electrobloc unit. It can be found on the offside just below the window (rhd drivers side). You have to lift up the wooden cover to expose both. The buzzer is about 35-50mm across. w1ntersun
Mines behind the button on the dash that allows you to raise the step from the cab.
thebishbus
Hi.JohnP is correct, that is where ours is, only comes on when the steps down and the engine is running. Brian B.
snail
Hi Barrie, i too have a hymer with electric step, but my buzzer is disabled in the menu's on dt 201 panel above the hab door, you need a code to get into the menu program, so you may be in the same situation, must admit the damn thing used to drive me crazy when manouvering on site and onto levellers, and you can see the step in first glance out the mirror and lift it from the drivers seat anyway, i wouldn't be in any hurry to reinstate it. regards brian
barrie w
Thanks everyone. Sadly drawn a blank so far on all suggestions. I'll keep looking though, if it's available I'd like to be able to use it if I want. Thanks Brian but you must have the more complex version of the 201. thanks again.
