wild rover
Hello, we are heading off to the Lake District (Ambleside) next week. Could anyone tell me what's the best, and fastest, route from near Swansea? Thanks! Pam
Guest Tracker
M4 A449 A40 M50 M5 M6 A590 A591. A good road atlas is worth having - just £1.99 in many shops! Don't forget your wellies and waterproofs cos it's the wettest part of England - bar NONE!
Philjp
Alternatively you could bypass Cardiff & Newport 50 MPH restrictions and go up the Heads of the Valley road A465 to raglan then pick up the A466 for Monmouth and the M50

Guest Tracker
Why not pop in Halfords and buy yourself a simple sat nav if you are one of life's 'navigationally challenged' souls? For under a hundred squids you can get a basic TomTom unit that will take you from door to door anywhere in the UK using postcodes that are dead easy to enter and without the worry of a wrong turn you can simply enjoy the journey - or if you do miss aturn it will soon reroute either itself or you - no worries - no problem - job done! Simples! Have agood trip!
