Caravan Insurance - recommendations?

First of all - an apology for posting this on the MH section but the Caravan board is a bit of a tumbleweed zone - very little happens and very few responses come in. And I still have a MH as well, so I kind of still qualify.

 

Anyway, now I've also a got a caravan, I guess I should insure it. A search of the web reveals many specialist companies but how many are reliable and which are dodgy (the names are unknown to me).

 

Any recommendations for a good company?

When we had the caravan we got the best deal from the camping and caravanning club. We have insured the motorhome with them now as they were very competitive. B-)

Our last caravan (2 years ago) we insured with NFU they were way cheaper than anyone else (particularly in our case on an self imported van, insured it from when we picked it up).

Brilliant service when we had a claim.

C&CC were also best quote for ours (Bailey Senator Indiana) when we had it.

C&CC were best for me on both my previous caravans and now my motorhomes.

 

In fact one of the benefits for my MH was that they accepted my cars proof of NCD to apply NCD discount to the MH. The others insurance would only accept it if I transferred it to the mh from my car.

 

No overly sure how that would have worked in practice?
