catinou
Hi all, we are looking at getting a tow bar mounted bike rack for 2 electric bikes. Thule have a Europower 915 model (13 pin plug) or a Europower 916 model (7 pin plug). Being a bit thick in this area, can anyone explain to a senior brain why different plugs are used please? Hubbie thinks a 13 pin plug is used when towing a caravan - but I have no idea at all and don't like to "not know".... *-) :$
Clive
A new EU standard EN 1648-1 has been around for some time to make one connector that does the duties of both the old 7 and 7s connectors. If you purchase a new caravan or trailer it should have the 13 pin connector. c.
