Meadows Engine
Can anyone please recommend a small but capable multi-meter to carry in my motorhome, preferably one I can dash out and get tomorrow as, as usual I have left it a bit late as we are off to France on Wednesday. Yes I know I should be more organised but I’m 70 in August and I still don’t know what I want to do when I leave school!! John
Guest Tracker
Almost any digital type will do the job just as long as it has the DC volts range of 0 - 20 V DC. Most have DC amps up to 10 amps but a few have 0 - 20 amps DC which is better should you ever need to check current draw or leisure battery charging. Some have auto switch off if unused for a while - often 10 minutes - which stops you killing the 9v PP3 type battery that powers the display should you forget to switch it off. Many DIY shops sell them as do Halfords and most motor factors and car parts shops although you might find them cheaper online at someone like Amazon.com - other suppliers are available!
