w1ntersun
It depends on what you are towing weight wise. I tow a 1200kg car and don,t know its there exepct up steep hills. Richard
Dave Newell
The Legend was built on the Transit chassis with the 2.5 turbo diesel engine I believe which is an OK setup but no ball of fire engine wise. Will it tow allright? Well that depends on what you want to tow, a small trailer of up to 500KGs shouldn't present a problem but a car of 1000KGs or more is going to knock its performance on hills quite severely. D. marcob
Hi I asume your Ledend is a Ford. I have towed a two tonnes gross trailer many time with my transit, it's maximum plated trailer weight, with no problems, with both Mrk.5 and Mrk.6, you may have a problem restarting on a very steep hill at that weight, but aything lighter should be OK. roger s
I think I would check the rear suspension of the Legend prior to towing, It will be getting on a bit now and a longish body, you may wish to consider some form of suspension aids
