howardandsue
I have just read the latest MMM and the write up on a 2007 Murvi Morello mentions a lay flat handbrake for the Mercedes Sprinter. We have an A class based on a 2007 sprinter and have been searching for a lay flat handbrake to allow us to rotate the driving seat when up on ramps without the need to be a contortionist. Has anyone any idea where we can get one as it's obviously possible.
Keithl
Hi Howard and Sue, First and foremost, Welcome to the forum! Is your 2007 an old or new model as this will probably make the difference? We were looking at a 2010 Marquis at the NEC in February and this had a fold flat handbrake fitted as standard by Mercedes. To operate the handbrake you pulled it up as normal then without touching the button simply pushed it down again. To release it you pulled it up, pushed the button and let it down as any other handbrake. It was a really neat touch and so simple to use. This may be available from Mercedes as a spare, you'd have to enquire at a Commercial dealers. If yours is the older model then I am not aware of one being available (but stand to be corrected). Or it might even be that the newer one will fit an older model? Keith.
