Dead Flies

John.N - 2010-07-12 5:32 PM ... Many thanks to all of you who sent so many useful suggestions - I shall try them all out...

Just be a little cautious when you do, especially if you carry out these suggestions on a public road.

You should wear decent breathing apparatus to ensure you don't contract legionnaires disease from the decomposing dead organic matter mixed with water, chemicals and detergents.

You should also be mindful that upon wetting the road you may be prosecuted by the Local Authority / Environment Agency / Police who are not afraid to use obscure and archaic legislation.

Environmentally, if your 'fly soup' runs into a watercourse you could wipe out an entire ecosystem and you could incur the wrath of any number of environmental groups.

It may also be worthwhile putting up warning triangles at a suitable distance from your 'van to alert cyclists and motorcyclists of the ensuing greasy/wet patch you've created. If any slip off, you'd most probably go to prison AND be sued on your release.

Oh, and everyone that sees you dropping dirty water onto the road will hate you.

Other than that, it's a pretty straightforward job.
