hymer1942
Can some one please tell me does this air con require any [ Gassing Etc ] as the engine aircon does every 3/4 years or is it sealed for "Life" Barrie
Clive
My 4X4 is 5 years old now and the aircon still works fine. I guess that one day it will not and will require re-gassing. I suspect yours will as well. C.
hymer1942
Thanks Clive but I think my posting was wrong, I am not speaking about the Mercedes aircon which I have just had regassed, but the living area rooftop aircon. Regards Barrie
Guest JudgeMental
I don't recognise the name, is "silent" the make? do you run it regularly and is it working OK? Because if it has been left for a while it can sometimes take awhile to start working properly... last year I thought mine probably needed gassing, but after leaving it run for a day it was fine I think car systems with seals that need lubrication ( when they gas a system they add quite a bit of oil for this) are more prone to leakage then smaller roof top sealed systems, simply because it is in the engine bay and subject to more movement me thinks...... My Waeco 1500 can suffer from fractured pipes apparently...so far so good. it is nearly 4 years old and working fine.
hymer1942
Hi Judge, its a Telair Silent, and yes it seems to be working fine, I just like to service things if they should be done. Barrie
Clive
Your roof aircon works in exactly the same way as the cab aircon. One day it will require re-gassing I believe. C.
