berti Posted July 10, 2010 Share Posted July 10, 2010 hi everyone we had to stop driving about an hour ago as it became unbearable...the heat was simply too much...mbh was feeling decidedly unwell... we stopped at a place called hirson... fuelled up and have been sat in the shade of some trees on the s/mkt car park ever since !!!! very conveniently located opposite mcd *-) the sky has just gone very dark and the wind has picked up .... a few drops of rain have just landed and all the car drivers are pipping their horns !!! what's the weather doing where you are ? cheers berti Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

berti Posted July 10, 2010 Author Share Posted July 10, 2010 hi carol the downpour lasted 30mins.....then hailstone started...it was just like being pelted with broken glass....that lasted 20mins ....then the wind just suddenly died away and blue skies appeared for 10mins..... the sky is now a mix of bright blue, white and red streaks !!! wierd *-) the temperature in the van dropped to 27deg....it was nudging 40deg before the downpour... but it is slowly climbing upward again !!!! mbh has had a cool shower and a nap and feels better ....my turn now !! cheers berti Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
