Radio ariel

The radio reception in my 06 Autotrail tracker has always been rubbish, and it seems to have got worse recently - possibly because they are reducing signal strength on VHF to push us all in the direction of DAB. I have recently bought and fitted a good quality DAB/VHF radio and it became immediately clear that the main problem was with the existing wing-mounted ariel. So. I've bought a roof mount DAB/VHF ariel, and with this mounted on an earthed aluminium plate and placed in the forward overhead locker, the radio performance is now brilliant. My problem is how on earth do I get two ariel leads from here down to the back of the radio ? Anybody got any ideas or experience doing this ?

Not familiar with your model/type motorhome but basically you are looking at two options. Either re-site the radio closer to where you have your aerial.....or buy a length of co-ax and be prepared for a time consuming job of removing panels etc to feed the cable behind.

Only other alternative is to take it along to an ICE specialist who will do the job for you......at a price of course!
