MIN663
Hi all anyone stayed at the Bath Marina campsite is it ok, or can anyone recommend another site. Cheers Min
Bob Elswood
Not stayed there but, we have stayed at Newton Mill ! We found that ok for us as there is a cyle path near there that leads into Bath. ( I think it goes past Bath Marina !! ) There are also buses available if you prefer.
flicka
We have stayed at both Bath Marina & Newton Mills. Both a similar distance from the town centre & good access by foot, cycle or public transport. We preferred Newton Mills, but that may be because it rained all the time we were at Bath Marina. http://www.newtonmillpark.co.uk/
bob b
Newton Mills looks nice Flicka. I've been thinking about visiting Bath to 'take the waters', so when the brats go back to school, I'll book in there for a few days.
MIN663
Thanks for the quick reply Bob & Flicka, Looks like Newton Mill is the favorite so ill go with the recommendation. Thanks for the link Flicka. Cheers Min
mirage
Newton Mill is OK has a pub/restaurant (service was a bit slow) facilities reasonable. I see they have dropped the prices a bit this year think they were a bit over the top last year.
Chudders
I have stayed at Newton MIll a couple of times. Site is OK as are the facilities. The first time i had a pitch right alongside the stream. Steep footpath across a field to get to bus stop but regular buses into Bath. I thought I had heard that it had changed hands since I was last there. May be mistaken though Dave
flicka
Hi Dave I just checked back on the Newton Mills website. Yes, it appears to have changed ownership since we visited, it was independant then Link on site shows it is now part of the Darwin Parks group of sites, with special offers available via PHONE bookings, for over 55's and CC&C members, see http://www.darwinholidays.co.uk/special_offers.html
ktesis
If you are a member of Caravan Club then this CL is excellent:http://www.penn-hill.com./links. We have just returned from a 5 night stay. Cost is £11 per night with hook-up. Bus stop to city centre 10 minute walk.

Rosbotham
Depending on the size of your van, some (most?) of the pitches at Newton Mill are on the small side. Bath Marina pitches are considerably bigger. Of the two, I prefer NM for site facilities, BM for location (across road from the park & ride).
